Developed in South Korea, OLEV (online electric vehicles) makes it possible for heavy-duty electric vehicles charged wirelessly either when they are parking or running on the road. This OLEV Technology uses smaller batteries and allows buses to charge while in operation.
Besides the charging road applied in South Korea such as Seoul amusement Park and campus shuttles, these Online Electric Vehicles were operated in Boston’s Logan International Airport, as a license signed from KAIST by the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) in 2011.
As an important part of public transportation system, these Online Electric Vehicles, or OLEV is fast, quiet and clean, which do take a positive impact in maximizing the users’ convenience economically and decreasing the emissions concerns ecologically. This is a good start, we can see a new generation of driving style. and we are driving toward a clean future!
