Charging Challenge

In January of 2013 DOE put into place a new challenge to encourage employers to install EV charging stations. Their goal is to increase the availability of charging stations across the US. Currently there are over 67 different companies that have undertaken this challenge and have installed a level 2 charging station at at least one of their office locations. Some of the companies that have accepted this challenge as of July 3rd, 2013 are: The Coca-Cola Company, Facebook, Google, GM, Hertz, and Verizon. The Coca-Cola Company’s office is in Atlanta, Georgia, and they are planning on doubling the amount of level 2 charging stations. These companies are leading the way for a more efficient America. To highlight one other company, Verizon has charging stations in 4 different states, namely Texas, New Jersey, Ohio, and California. We should applaud these companies for taking being a driving force behind these innovations!
