Nissan posted their top 15 Sales Markets report for 2013. San Francisco achieved first place and New York rounds out the list. Our neighbors in DC ranks in at 13th place. The Nissan Leaf is slowly gaining popularity and is only building momentum as more drivers sign on to drive electric. The company producing these 100-mile range EVs released the map below:
I can’t say that the Leaf is championing the EV market because everyone knows that Tesla is blowing it out of the water as sales for Tesla double in 2013. Also, take a look at the EV sales scorecard generated by InsideEVs to see a tabular comparison.
Perhaps Maryland will make it on the list next year–we’ll definitely be on the look out. Who knows what 2014 will bring?
