Charging the Navy

slide_1

Portland, Oregon based company OpConnect has sold a total of fifteen electric vehicle charging stations to the U.S. Navy. Installed at Naval bases in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia and San Diego, CA, OpConnect’s stations can charge four vehicles at a time. The company, which owns and operates over 300 electric vehicle charging stations nationwide, is owned and managed by a veteran of the armed services. Perhaps while Veteran’s Affairs sorts out their managerial issues, the Navy and its other armed counterparts can continue to take post-discharge job placement into their own hands, by encouraging business opportunities and partnerships such as this?
