Plug-In Charging Pilot Program offered by PEPCO

PEPCO has released a Plug-In Vehicle Charging Pilot in their Maryland service areas. This program is now open to all qualified PEPCO residential customers in Maryland “with a plug-in vehicle that can travel a minimum of 30 miles using electricity as fuel” (http://www.pepco.com/energy/blueprint/pluginveh/).

The program announces that PEPCO will provide and install a “smart Level 2 Charging Station to the first 50 qualified customers who sign up to participate.” An incentive to participate includes a 50% reduction in costs to the resident for the EVSE equipment.

The website also features an Energy Calculator, Frequently Asked Questions, and a Glossary of Terms. Go to PEPCO’s Plug-In Charging Pilot Program website to learn more about the benefits of signing up.
