California Proposes $3 Billion in Electric Vehicle Incentives
According to local SF Bay, On June 28th, 2017, San Francisco assemblyman Phil Ting proposed a bill to further incentivize Californians to decrease their carbon footprint by way of electric vehicle. The bill, if passed, would provide a continuous allocation of 3 billion dollars of rebates for car buyers. The clean vehicle initiative would operate in phases, with the inclusion of plug-in hybrid cars to be phased out to fully electric cars. California’ efforts to establish itself as a leader in EV adoption underscores the importance of government support. The payoff, should electric vehicles successfully be able to stand alone in the market, will be significant for decreasing our greenhouse gas emissions.
