UPS Sustainability Plans

UPS is looking to invest in more EVs as part of their goal of reducing their greenhouse gas emissions footprint by 12% by the year 2025. The company currently operates over 8,300 alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles and plans to add more to their fleet every year. They hope that by 2020 these vehicles will make up a quarter of their annual vehicle purchases. In addition, they plan to increase their use of renewable energy so that 25% of the electricity they consume comes from renewable sources by 2025, a significant increase from 0.2% in 2016.
