University of Maryland Installs Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Blurring the line between campus and the community as well as reducing Greenhouse Gas Emission are goals that inspired the installation of these Electric Vehicle charging stations. This installation also comes with benefits such as free parking as well as free charging. Sounds like I am using too many “frees” but the goal is to help Electric vehicle owners save money and probably get back the money from purchasing the car over a couple of years. The initial plan was to install ten Electric Vehicles but five were installed but, as soon as there is an increase in the users of the charging stations, more charging stations will be installed meet the demand. University of Maryland will definitely benefit from this progress.

  1. The school of all establishments and organizations should be one of the most active and enthusiastic about these things because it involves the safety and protection of the environment. Good to know that the University of Maryland is doing what they can to go green with the introduction of these vehicles and charging stations.
